This recipe is from the files of Vera Matson. Her grandson, David Bell, shared it with wordsbyhand.com. He says Vera was Swedish and came to the US at about the age of 16, moving to Lindsborg, Kansas. She met her husband and they eventually moved Kansas City, MO.
David remembers trips from Arizona to visit Kansas City, then to Joplin, MO to visit cousins, and then on to Granby, MO to visit the other grandmother.
